If you wish to become a vendor on the Orillia Farmers' Market, please contact the Market Manager (see 'Contact Us' page) to discuss availability. As this is primarily a farmers' market, the Management Committee naturally encourages the courting of people who are growers or who operate a business that derives from agricultural efforts. However, we, like our shoppers, enjoy a market with variety, so if your product is sufficiently unique to what is already found on this market, thought to be of demand, and substantially of your manufacture, we will think long and hard while making available to you our 'Information' sheet.

  If you are coming to the Orillia Farmers' Market as a new vendor, you should arrive around 7:00 a.m., sign the 'Casual Vendor' sign-in sheet, and have absolutely everything you will need to carry on your business. At 7:15 a.m. the Manager begins noting where the gaps are among the market stalls and inviting those on the signed list to occupy one. The Manager is available at any time to answer questions and make helpful suggestions to new vendors, as are fellow vendors around you. Before too long the Manager will bring a 'Casual Vendor' application form which you are to fill out and return. At some time during the Market day the Manager will be carrying on accounts with individual vendors, and will approach new vendors for payment of daily stall-fee. First time vendor must also make a one-time annual payment to become a member of the Orillia Farmers' Market Organisation, the vendors' association, which holds the liability insurance for the Market. Receipts will be issued for all payments at time of payment.
